Not at all. Lots of people make mistakes with marriage, especially when they marry at a young age. I can't blame McCain for wanting a new start after the horrors he was forced to endure while a POW. Even though I would always greatly discount any maligning comments from an ex-spouse, I don't think McCain's ex was crying foul during the primaries.

WRT allegations. Much of these indiscretions are allegations. I would guess that in anyone's life, unless they are very unlucky or stupid, they are caught about 10% of the time they break the law. I find it quite plausible that with a record like Bush's that all of these allegation have a greater liklihood of veracity than not. It is in that context that I passed judgement as a voter in the primaries and general election and cast my vote for somone other than Bush.
