If, and the operative word here is 'if', the GOP machine decides that McCain is the right man for the nomination he'll win the next non-incumbabnt GOP primary. As long as McCain continues with his campaign finance reform message he'll lose. He's not towing the party line. I don't fault the GOP for this, it's the nature of politics and the Democrats have their own version. However, I still think it stinks and if a viable third party ever convinces MCain to run look out. I would be quite proud to salute a President McCain.

Because of this, I could never vote for him as President. I have never had and cannot comprehend what Mr. McCain went through. I cannot be certain that this kind of treatment does not create some demons in a mind. I could not take a chance with the job of President. I think highly of Mr. McCain.
