You left out the end of that last scenario: three quarters of the republican Representatives losing their seats in 2002.

That one is a good script, but it would be better if the "written objection" filers were aliens or robots.

Lawyers got us into this mess. Lawyers can get us out. Although I'm still
not clear on how that's not going to involve gun powder.

We're gonna be *begging* to have the lobbyists back at the helm before
this is over. Lawyers - no *thank you. Give us back our political
hack/puppets.

By the time this is over, Cook County (Ill) could be
stepping in leading a labor backed army of Russian speaking Red Army
'temp-guardsmen' and sending them on maneuvers in Fla.

And what about Anarchy? There's an option not getting much radio play. The
NASDAQ would probably be cool with it. I'm sure Alan Greenspan would
certainly think twice about raising interest rates with a mob outside the
building.

It'd be: Now look at you, Alan Greenspan! Raise *this! <g>

The Florida Supreme Court (correctly, in my view) compels the Secretary of State to follow well established Florida law and certify all final county votes as reported in a week or so, including those ballots that were wrongly not counted by machines but revealed by a hand-check to have a manifest intent to vote for one or another presidential candidate. Gore wins the popular vote of Florida (as he doubtless has nation-wide). The Electoral College reports to Congress, as required, on January 6.

First part

But one partisan Bush supporter in the House and another in the Senate file "written objections" to the Electoral College report, relying on preliminary county reports in Florida rather than the final, certified counts.

Second part.

If the first part of the above scenario takes place, then... I doubt very much that a rogue partisan(s) would go against the wishes of the Bush people themselves, (by which time they would have conceded to Gore).

If, on the other hand, what you say does take place,(Personally I highly doubt it).

Then run for cover boys and girls, the market game while not over, it will change tune and it will very difficult to play it --not impossible, but much harder. (Just see how it has been behaving since this charade started).

Perhaps this is all a planned conspiracy by the French! in collusion with other European bureaucrats, so as to make the Euro a "manhandled" success -g-

Better, perhaps the NASDAQ officials, in their zeal to pulp the NYSE, have secretly sided with the European exchanges in order to truly take over DIE WELT !! and redirect investors funds away from Wall Street, and create a brave new WORLD MARKET...

[Hmmm perhaps I should work on this theory and approach Alan Geenspan, offering the title of World President-at-large-and-for-life]
