FESHBACH_DISCIPLE:

You ask:
> Can you believe this!!

No! But perhaps what I can not believe is your continued poor attempt to spread baseless assumptions and naive presumptions for self-serving gains on this and several other message boards on SI, and Yahoo (based on the writing style of your posts)!

Looks like this optical stuff has peaked!!! Thanks for bringing this to the thread attention.
How much exposure does JDSU have to SONET?
Good luck with your shorts, I'd cover before December.

You gotta see this----
>>Everyone is wringing their hands and gnashing their teeth over who actually won the Presidency. I would like to give you a taste of the latest burning issue in our own national election campaign here in Canada. As you know, Prime Minister Jean Chretien is seeking re-election in 10 days to a 3rd term (somewhat early) and his nearest rival is a newcomer named Stockwell Day. (Chretien's Liberal party is closest to your Democratic party, and Stockwell is a verrrrry right wing Republican counterpart.
You think YOU'VE got problems....>>

While most market segments that comprise the optical market realized some losses, the Metro-DWDM Market posted Q/Q growth of 37% to $108.2 Million.

This validates what we've been saying for months: voice-centric SONET is shrinking and data-centric DWDM is growing.

JDSU and SDLI don't play in the SONET space. Never have. Never will.
