Unemployment was in the low 5's in the early 80's. Welfare reform, which Clinton and the Democrats fought tooth and nail and said was evidence of Republican coldheartedness is a big reason unemployment is as low as it is today. During the Reagan and Bush years these folks were living off the taxpayer. Now Dems want to take credit for a result of an effect they opposed in the first place. This is the intellectual dishonesty I'm saying you must avoid. If you listen long enough, they'll have you believe you'd be nowhere without them. They'll have you praying at the altar of the Capital Dome.
