The early 80's was right after Carter left office. It didn't take long for Reagan to get it into the low teens did it?

Carter put it in the teens. The early 80's saw it decline into single digits. Your memory is at odds with the facts.

Do you remember who fought raising minimum wage?
Hint; it wasn't the democrats.

That's exactly right. I'm glad you give credit where credit is due. Minimum wage increases are inflationary to the consumer and destroy jobs by giving businesses more incentive to invest in labor saving machines and technology. In the end harming the very people it's alledged to help.

But let's give it the acid test. You say you look at results. When I entered the work force minimum wage was $1.25. Next month it goes to $6.25. A 400% increase. Now, how is the war on poverty doing?

In preparation for the minimum wage increase, I am currently weighing either a 3-4% price increase and a reduction in hours allocated per sales $. There will be no new $'s paid. Who wins?
