Vol - How about that thread bet on this weeks downgrade/slgging off?

Did you see BRCM get whacked this week. It had stood up fairly well in the crash of the last couple of weeks and then all it tookwas one downgrade to collapse it.

One thing I would like to know is whether if a major investment house issues a downgrade are they allowed to deal in the stock or its opitons before hand using the knowledge of their impending downgrade?
