Unfortunately these long disclosure of risk sections in ARs and 10Qs are a direct result of the large number of shareholder law suits being launched against companies in technology. SCMR is a new issue in a rapidly shifting field, it is and will continue to be a volatile issue. If you've ever been in an issue that dropped suddenly on a rumor or an earnings short fall, you'd know that its only about ten days before you get the class action suit papers from the lawyers that specialize in this type of action. I think that they are simply trying to protect themselves against this type of action.
