Z, crude is up because the world-wide demand is up, so this is helping crude prices go higher. But the main problem in our country is that refineries cannot keep up with demand.

And in recent yrs, they have begun refining no more than they can sell immmediately, so as to minimize the $$ value of the product they must "float". This has partly led to reserves now being so low.

A new oil refinery is one of the toughest things to find a site for and get permitted. Nobody wants one anywhere near them.
