True Annette,

Here is another scenario. If Gore is steals this election, many older, experienced service people will leave. That will put the military in the position of having to promote those that are NOT ready or capable of handling the job. And also to have to offer big bonuses just to keep some.

<< What is the funny thing, is that if Gore is elected, there will be many folks bailing out of our Military.
Our enemies will see this - and if a war or something like that rears it's ugly head, what do you think might happen?

Interesting theory. OTOH, Bush Junior has said, over and over again, that he doesn't want to use our military to keep the peace, ONLY to fight wars.

Our enemies know this now! If Bush Junior gets to play President, our enemies will have a free hand at terrorism, as long as they don't bring the US into a full scale war.

The ultimate nightmare scenario under Gore would be if foreign powers assumed he would never retaliate with nukes because of his environmental views. Any country with nuclear launch capability could theoretically force the U.S. into military surrender.
