Can't handle the truth from the horse's mouth huh?
Big military types Bush and Cheney, both skipping out on the war while Gore enlisted in the Army infantry. Sure he was just a reporter but at least he went. And Leiberman is a major military hawk.

Gore's budget has 100 billion more for the military than Bush/Cheney over the next four years. But Bush/Cheney would waste 400 billion on a Star Wars system which has never worked and may never work, which could turn into the second biggest boondoggle in history (After Reagan's S+L debacle) and which will make all our arms control agreements null and void. Some leadership. I wonder which large campaign contributors to the GOP stand to benefit from the enormous Star Wars contracts? One thing I know. Very little of that money will go to improving the lives of soldiers and sailors. And Bush's vote bump from overseas military in Florida was tiny. Just a few hundred after they spent so much money going after those votes. Goes to show the military is content with Clinton/Gore.

Gore is slowly picking up votes from the re-counts now. Not enough yet. But it could end up very-very close again. It's anyone's race still. Too close to call.
