I wish it were that easy. There are many configuration changes made to programs, the programs themselves, things like bookmarks and cookies, downloaded plug-ins, the list goes on and on. Bookmarks and cookies can usually be moved, by how about preference changes? How about missing plug-ins? How about applications that they've come to depend on that can't be installed on the new machine for any of a number of reasons? (the simplest being that they've lost some or all of the original program disks, other issues can be compatibility with the new system).
