Point taken, but I offer the following. Politics is a lot like Wall Street. It does not really matter the issue, or the merits of your argument regarding that issue. ALL that matters is that there is an "issue". What I am saying is that no matter who is president, and no matter how this election is resolved, there will be friction and some spin on why one party wants one thing and the other something different.

The mileage either can get out of this election mess is limited. Just like WS tells me chips are bad this week for reason X, next week reason Z is why chips will be good.

In the end it is the substance of your argument that moves men to act. If 99.99 are rejected by congress then 99.99 were probably bad as determined by the majority power in that body.

This election and its impact on our nation will be a footnote to 2000 in a few months or even weeks.
