limtex,

Hello again. Nice to see you here too. I thought you are a SNDK fellow. :)

<<What on earth is going on with the short interest in this stock up from 600,000 in the summer to over 13m on Oct 13th.

At 3.2 times daily turnover its one of the biggest I've seen.>>

That may explain why SSTI had to drop its plans to offer Notes and stock offerings. On top of its 3 for 1 split on August (More shares available to trade like QCOM after 12/31/99). I like this company's PE ratio and growth potential than SNDK's at this time. I think it is more diversified and more deep rooted on the ground than SNDK. I like this one for a bottom fishing purpose. It will move up and down as fast as SNDK on any day. They are basically in the same industry. Correct? May be different application.

Thank you for sharing shares trading stuffs. I seldom follow it. May be I will from now on.

I am still doing extensive research on SSTI now.

Still feel hurts not in SNDK at 8 or 9 back in 1998.

Best.

I am well aware of the short position and therefore holding back from buying this stock. I like it for ever other reason. Can someone tell me if in fact a large short position always affect the stock negatively? If SSTI is selling the shorts, that is, providing them to the short sellers, then you have a company that knows its stock price is going up, like Microsoft used to do. Can anyone elaborate on this. Thank you.
