FYI Creative Nomad is a major hit...and is rumored to have sold in either 19MM units or $19MM sales..(I forget exactly which it was). When I went to Internet World in NYC...people were all crowded around Nomad.

Now...IMO..if that POS can do so well...and it only plays MP3's and CDs....we can only imagine...how the Treo', Cleo and (Meo? just kidding) can do...

smile....Mary

"If it has the capability to play speech at an accelerated rate it was certainly not evident from the controls."

YOU just couldn't figure it out. I'm not surprised.

"But I doubt that anyone would care very much about such a feature. It has no application for music playing"

You are joking, right?

With a normal fast-forward control, you have to guess how long to hold the button down. If you can hear the music at an accelerated rate, you can know EXACTLY when to let go of the button. This is MUCH more convenient than a conventional fast-forward.
