LVLT Atlantic Crossing. Martin, you're right. LVLT is now down to 1 fiber pair. According to LVLT's Quarterly Report (SEC form 10-Q) 11/2/2000
biz.yahoo.com

"Viatel Agreement
On April 12, 2000, Level 3 signed an agreement with Viatel whereby Viatel agreed to purchase an ownership interest, valued at over $150 million, in one fiber pair on Level 3's transatlantic fiber optic cable system installed by Level 3. As a result of this agreement, both companies will own and operate one fiber pair on the transatlantic cable. The Company expects to recognize revenue on a portion of this contract during the fourth quarter of 2000, with the remainder being recognized over the term of the contract."

Thanks, Jim Brown
