The Act is what was passed by congress and the statute pertains to the law (ie Title and Section of law pertaining to violations of the RICO Act).

With that being said, I am not familiar at all with the civil aspects of the Act (damages awarded to individuals). Only with the criminal aspects of the law. One of the elements is that there must be a continuing criminal enterprise involved. The most common association with RICO are drug organizations.

There is Civil RICO! The term is Statute as far as I know.
