We're just seeing the execution of a well thought out plan by the Gore team. Strike teams of lawyers and Jesse Jackson were on planes that night. A 2 pronged assault on the law by the lawyers, and on the character of the participants by the racebaiter. Good strategy. Almost worked.

Manual recounts in a Presidential election are standard procedure? To the point we don't know who the President-Elect is almost 2 weeks after the Presidential election? Nevermind, this is beginning to sound like the typical Democratic line of bogging the people down with details while they forget the big picture. And the big picture is, IMHO, that Al Gore refused to accept the recount (the first recount in Florida) and wait for the absentee ballots to be counted before knowing whether he should concede or not.

Dig your head out of the sand man. On election night Gore already had the phone banks set up and operating, calling people to get them to complain about the "illegal" ballots. He had operatives on the ground before the polls closed. The entire operation has been carefully crafted by the dems and was begun BEFORE the election.
