brian.. I wouldn't buy any of them right now!! Especially Wireless Operators.. I would probably even recommend shorting VZ... And that goes for options.. I wouldn't buy anything right now!! The economy is slowing way too fast for it's own good.. IMO. Here is something to keep an eye on.. Set up a MY YAHOO account and activate the NEWS CLIPPER service.. News Clipper will retrieve all stories on the web regarding certain "key words". Use LAY OFF as your key word.. I have been tracking this over the last 6 months.. And I have to tell you.. The activity has picked up over the last 2 months ALOT.. Try it yourself.. When consumers start seeing their neighbors and friends getting the layoff slips.. They tend start pulling back on spending, and those not so necessary items.. Like Wireless Services.. You've already seen the major wireless handset providers/service providers start lowering expectations.. Growth in the segment is slowing!! And will continue to do so IMO.. Of course we now have the Old Economy Stocks trading at higher valuations than tech stocks!! Will this continue.. I doubt it.. The NASDAQ has lost almost 50% of it's value... While the DOW is still above 10,000... I don't think it will last.. Liquidity is drying up!! M&A's are decreasing.. Companies can not use their elevated stock prices to complete M&A's anymore.. Vendor Financing is going to be hard.IMO. Oil is high!! The Lay-offs are increasing every day!! I fear even Alan G. can not fix it!! The Nikkei is 10% above 1998 SEA crisis levels.. The KOSPI is at Jan. 1999 levels. Personally, I am SHORT, (Except QCOM, and GSTRF, and a little PSINet "speculation plays")I don't think the NASDAQ is going to rally to 5,000 let alone 4,000.. If things work out for me.. I will buy a bunch of LEAPS when we have hit rock bottom... But, then again.. Maybe this is Rock Bottom.. But, I just don't think so!! PCSTEL
