Pearly, I hope not but it is possible that one day the big scrubber will shut down. I beleive that there are exactly two possible ways for all this to play out: One is the frog in the cooking pot theory. In this world over time the biosphere steadily and slowly degrades till it is too late, like a frog in a warming pot of water. The other is the climatic event theory; in this view, some disaster or series of disasters occurs and rapidly changes the status quo for the worse. In this view some event, super storms, epidemic or something as simple as a drought induced US crop failure coupled with a world wide financial meltdown set the stage for bigger disasters. WSR
