Asian invasion? I don't think so.
While its true that BC has a high influx of asian immigrants, other areas of Canada have pockets of other ethnic immigrants too...and so what?

The Canadian Alliance candidate must lead a sheltered life to have made the origional statement, unless she is following the typical western "right wing" sentiments often projected by certain parties.

While the Alliance has some good platform issues, I don't think it has a handle on what true Canadianism (?) is.

<< I really enjoy their cuisine >>
<< pea soup. >>

Hey average,

I like both.
I'm Quebecois de souche on one side and second
generation Chinese on the other (with a little Irish for good measure). Parizeau's nightmare. LOL

regards
Kastel

Reading some of the editorials about your elections
-(I believe Canada may decide on a P.M. before we can
figure out this mess in the US), may I ask a dumb-question from an uninformed bystander?
Does the Teacher's union (or other unions) announce support for candidates? My question is toward this editorial about education and affirming my suspicions of a correlation between political and social issues- (ie job security- as you'll probably aware that the teacher's union strongly supports Democrat's and their liberal stance and away from chartered/private schooling)

I think the whole world would be better if we had tax relief and less entitlements. IMHO
At least 38% of the people in Canada provided the 'majority'
for the present government- far better than the US.
