I suspect the children would like both movies. I would appreciate The Grinch as a classic. But I must say I am intrigued by "Chuckie" getting a new mom in the Rugrats movie. I became a fan of them when I watched the Rugrats Mothers Day special with my children. It dealt with why why Chuckie did not have a mom, which was due to a death.
I have a neice and nephew who lost their mom to breast cancer when they were quite young (they are now only 10 and 14.) So that episode of the show endeared the Rugrats to our family.
