Powell's appeal extend across party lines. I think the Democrats would love to have him on their side. I don't even know if Powell is a registered Republican. Does anyone know this? Powell, imo, could have made a real run for President, and certainly Vice-President. If I remember correctly his wife did not want him to do either. She has her reasons, and most important, Powell respected her wish. Would Powell have political success and be effective? I don't know, but I think a lot of people thought he could be no worse than the ones we have had. Have a good one. TH
