I trade for a living, and watch news and markets pretty closely and the markets do react to news. And I have a different perception than you do. So how about if we dispense of the opinion and look at the facts.

Just look at the SI Home page and the DOW....There was an upspike at around 10:00 AM, the wholes reaction was no longer than 1 Hour; the State Supreme court decision came very late in the afternoon...the DOW rose the last 20 minutes. Go ahead look at the SI home page ...and the DOW for Friday and then say again the spikes were the exact opposite. BTW, exact opposite, implies to me, opposite directions of equal magnitude....The proof of your incorrect statement is right on the SI home page!

There are always news traders and the effects are short lived. The markets have reacted all week, up and down spikes and return to before the news.
