Hi rok,

Your message is strong, clear, well-crafted and courageous. I salute you on allowing yourself to even review the evidence, let alone arriving at the conclusion you did.

Honest, courageous democrats across the land must be reaching similar conclusions. My prayer is that they reach out to their party leaders and the media, advising them of their fears.

We must not allow the trial lawyers of this nation to become the "shadow government" of either party. The rule of law must prevail, or we risk anarchy.

Congratulations on your courage and your insights.

jj

We disagree on the recounts… I don't see anything wrong with trying to make sure all votes were counted. In some counties, as many as 7% of votes were disputed. The Economist reports that by International Standards this is unprededented. I think that this amount is too high to simply call a "margin of error" and leave it at that.

In contrast to your take on the process so far, I've been impressed with the performance of the Gore legal team. So far, they have kept this matter in the Florida Courts, unlike the GOP. The GOP seems to me to be the party that has no consideration for the other side, with their continued rcokheaded assertion that all votes have been counted. The machines miss a high percentage of the votes, no matter how many time the ballots are fed through.

I cringe when I see Jesse Jackson head into a situation such as this, but I'm not blaming Gore for that yet.
