Just heard that Bush has picked up 12 votes to Gore 0...and I thought they said West Palm Beach...anyone know if that is correct? Those are the 12 votes the janitor found stuffed in the Tampax dispenser in the ladies room. Katherine Harris is claiming that Ms. LePore hid them there.

The problem with that stat is that it is not a good sampling of the hand counted ballots so far. Many of the ballots with "issues" are being placed in separate piles for the canvassing board members to review together, then decide upon whether to count or not. This being performed on a precinct by precinct basis. One can only speculate why such tally is being communicated to and through the media at this point in time. Obviously the media is hungry for any data that can be released, but I question the integrity of the above-referenced count since it runs counter to logic. It is an extreme unlikelihood that Bush will pick up votes in PBC. It is more likely that whatever votes Gore is picking up are not going to be counted and thereby released to the medial until such a time as the canvassing boards, and the Democratic interests that are controlling their decisions deem it appropriate. IMHO, it is very plausible that the true results of this manual recount are being kept under-lid (a deferral in the counting of ballots with "issues" until the State Supreme Court rules tomorrow afternoon. JMO.
