Sony Plans Tracking Stock Issue for So-net Service,
Nikkei Says
By Leslie Brown

Tokyo, Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Sony Corp. plans to issue tracking stock to raise
as much as 100 billion yen ($919.46 million) for Sony Communication Network
Corp., which provides the So-net Internet access service, Nikkei English News
said.

Sony may announce the plan today and may have a shareholders meeting in
January or February to review its charter to allow the shares to be issued, NEN
said, citing an unidentified source close to the matter.

The tracking stock's dividends will be linked to Sony Communications Network's
performance rather than Sony Corp., NEN reported.
