...how about your monitor? is it working?... I once was forced to drive over a hundred miles to fix the strangest problem. Only a few characters would display, the rest being blank. Typing commands would only move the visible characters around a bit, but beyond that, nothing changed. When I arrived, I discovered that the brightness was turned way down, so only the highlighted characters appeared. I turned up the brightness on the monitor and the problem was solved. I wish I could've turned up the brightness of the user as easily. Cheers, PW.
