Enjoyed the rap today, particularly the part about silver.

Dumped some of my PAAS today after holding since late August. Still got a whole whack more. I was really surprised by the drop to 4.60 in spot prices over the last 3 months and my instincts as a trader overwhelmed my fantasies as an investor. I had bought too much too early. Lesson learned (again).

Gold actually looks more promising at this juncture. Generally, when a commodity turns around in price, we see the stock prices anticipate it, and that's sure what I'm seeing in my gold watch lists.

I posted the sale today on my usual thread and got a lot E-mail from pretty savvy people who also think precious metals are due for a break out. I think I'll hold off on dumping any more for a few days.

Good Luck with your holdings. I have this fantasy of sending you a PM at some point advising you of your conflict of interest as a prudent hedge fund manager versus a director of Pan Am since silver prices had reached 'irrational' levels.

Wouldn't that be fun?

CD

Bill,
Do you think tax loss selling is affecting PAAS?
