I heard from many women before the election that Bush would appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe vs. Wade. I, a staunch Republican, think it is hogwash.

The Christian Right represents a lot of hard working good patriotic Americans period. They are the one's who went to war and died for this country in great numbers and this country has its traditions in the Christian faith. I am not a Christian but I have the greatest respect for the history of this country and what Christianity has meant to this country. They just have to accept the fact that changing the laws to outlaw abortions is not going to happen. Not now or in the future. The Christian belief says that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for our sins. Note as the Son of God He could have called on the forces of the universe to bring everyone to their knees and to submit to his will but He didn't. He died on the cross. Free will is an integral part of Christianity just as it is an integral part of out political system. Making laws to force morality defy that free will. If there is a God then He will take care of his children as He sees fit. Man in my opinion abortion is just plain bad karma. Also ever think about what the environmental impact of an abortion is to a women's body. Kind of like a mega dose of DDT
