First, I apologize to Anthony for disrupting his thread for such a ridiculous issue. I realize that he and others here have far more important matters at hand than to read this petty nonsense. I know I do. . . .like having a second cup of coffee.

2. You don't even bother to check the accuracy of your claim in any other way.
3. You obviously have no regard for whether your claim is true or not! And THAT is the part that should worry everyone most about your character!

Again, you do not bother with substantiating your false claim in any way. Not to mention that this is offensive to me personally, though I do not know you. I do not recall ever posting with you publicly or privately. And I certainly have never discussed my personal financial statement with you or anyone else on the internet. I know better. So I certainly have no idea what could have caused such emotion from you.
Now, I hope you are fully aware that your post is libelous and that you are fully responsible for providing proof for the claims you make publicly on these boards. Had you made your unsubstantiated claim in a restaurant, it would still be libelous, but only a few people would have had a chance of hearing it. Whereas the claims you make on these boards are a form of permanent public record!! I hope you understand exactly what that means. This is a serious matter!
Now, I do not owe you a response to your unfounded claim. Especially since this is not a proper forum with which to discuss this matter. A courtroom is. But since you are attacking the validity of my quest with Insighters.comTM, I do feel compelled to respond. . .
BACKGROUND:
About a year and a half ago, I undertook a project to build Insighters.comTM, a creative place which fully favors the Individual Investor of all trading styles [long, short, day, LT and everything in between] It is NOT a "guru site". I will merely be one of many such qualified leaders there specializing in various trading styles. . . We will focus on the TRADE and not on the stock or the company, [with a minimum of "trading emotion", which tends to run rampant on stock symbol boards and leads to bad decision making]. I wish I could go into further detail, but it is not appropriate to do so here.
But the biggest difference of this site over every other on the net. . . is that we have found a way to virtually eliminate the roving eyes of the Wall Street Power Brokers, the Market Makers, the Financial Media and any other financial professionals [and criminals]. We have the LATEST and perhaps BEST ways of communicating amongst ourselves. . .with numerous types of alerts and even various types of chat rooms. The administrative hierarchy is equally impressive. And we have been developing new tools for READING this new highly volatile market place. TA has been used as a trap much of the year 2000 . So we will be looking at new ways to read this market, where our methods will be kept under wraps. Any Wall Street pros disguised as individuals will clearly be violating SEC regs and will be hung out to dry with high profile prosecution.
Needless to say this is an AMBITIOUS undertaking, but an important one. And while I don't expect it to change the world right away, I do intend on slowly making a difference. The Individual Investors and Traders have been slapped around in this unfair market for too long. On Insighters.comTM, we will be rating the ANAL-ysts, and logging upgrade/downgrades and even media interviews for signs of fraud. . .and tracking and helping expose scammys as always. . .as well as teach newbies about the many pitfalls. . . . We will be working hard towards leveling the playing field [which is currently as level as the north face of San Jacinto], through lobbying, letters and other initiatives I'd rather not discuss here. Thousands of Individual Investors have already written me at my email address to be put on our mailing list to be notified of the opening, etc.
That should give sufficient background support for the following. . . .
It is true that this undertaking has cost me quite a sum of money to build. Not sure if you know how much this stuff costs, but I just paid for 4 mammoth servers running at 950Mhz and 4 Gig RAM, with over a half a TERABYTE of hard drive space spread out over 18 fully redundant hard drives. . .Hewlett-Packard & IBM. . . We have hot-swappable power, drives, fans, etc. . . 6 hour battery and unlimited full-time back-up generator. . . the Web Farm that will be running this site sits directly on top a UUnet and Sprint hub for exceptional optical networking speed. The I.T. staff is 24 hour and specialize in fighting off hack attacks before they do damage.
Needless to say, this project is CONSIDERABLY more than your typical "guru chat room". . . which I have NO interest in. And though we may have rather humble beginnings, we expect that within about 5 years, we will be making some serious changes in the way the Individual Investor / Trader is viewed by Wall Street & the media. . . and we may even have some fun along the way.
Now to address your ridiculous claim, I have never said anything about my family "supporting ME" during the building of this site. What I said in response to inquiries about why things were taking so long. . . .was that 2 1/2 years ago I married my wife who already had 4 wonderful teenage kids to 2 prior not so wonderful marriages. [DBDs] I am having to support them fully while also investing heavily in the building of this site and the supporting corporate entities . . . add to that 3 driving age fashion conscious teens, 2 of which are college age. . . . [the driveway looks like a car lot]. . And I no longer wish to draw any monies from my family accounts for the purpose of building the website. I have spent enough and have personally taken on much of the associated liabilities and debt. . . .so I eventually did the responsible fatherly thing and just drew the line!
You obviously misunderstood.
I try never to draw from any of my families trading/investing accounts for "regular income". However, I did draw a nice bonus when exiting tech stocks on March 7th when we moved into REITs and cyclicals for the summer.
I also did not anticipate my wife getting seriously ill, which delayed this project by at least 6 months and sent it way over budget. . . as I could no longer spend even a minute working on the Individual Investor website project during this extended period. We had another big scare just a few months ago with her [which further delayed opening], but all looks well now [thank God!]. . . so we are back on track.
Now consider this. Before becoming a full-time trader. Just three years ago, I was still single and living in an apartment!! . . . fully living off artistic design and music royalty checks from 2 decades working as a composer/producer. Now I am married and own a home on Williamson County acreage outside Nashville. . . I now own several businesses . . . and about every high-tech toy I or my family could ever want. . . not to mention family investment or trading portfolios. . . or others I have been able to help.
I don't know your criteria for measuring success, nor do I care!! I honestly have NO IDEA what ANY of this has to do with ANYTHING!! Nor do I understand exactly why you wish to attack me personally or with regard to finance, which has no bearing on anything . . . . when I don't even know you.
But if I may make a suggestion. . . .BEFORE you spout off false claims and other lies about me [or anyone]. . . .ASK FIRST! I've always answered whatever questions are appropriate as I have nothing to hide.
And regarding your remarks about those on the HOME thread. These are GOOD people, [some of which I have met personally] and extremely talented active traders [both long and short] working AS A TEAM against all odds. The reason we have thousands of readers and have maintained such stability on SI, while so many guru threads have come and gone from SI and RB over the years. . .is that the HOME thread is NOT a guru thread. Our motto is and has always been, "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts". . . and we fully believe that by discussing matters and contributing to the thread, we all end up more informed. It isn't all about me. It never was.
As Individual Investors fighting the ridiculous and even criminal Wall Street Power Brokers [I call the "Po' Boys"]. . . we need all the unity we can get. . .among longs and shorts, daytraders and position traders. . . everyone who can call themselves an Individual Investor/Trader. You should not waste your energy with this nonsense and instead make a positive contribution and join the fight.
