Could you provide YTD returns? <<<< On our website, which LEE was the developer, we list all of our trades. We started this experiment on JAN 21 and to this date we are up 29%, with 4 open positions. My guess is that we are actually up 25-27% right now. What I want to add is that we started with a hypothetical $10000. Our goal besides making profits was also to control/minimize risk. We use the strategy of hedging alot where the strong majority of our positions were hedged. Of the unhedged position our average position was less than than 40% of our total capital. There was one time I recall when we did go over 50%, but that was the exception. So we have never been 100% invested, and if I had to guess, we averaged closer to the 25%-35% range invested in any direction(unhedged). With risking only 25-35% of our capital on average, we were still able to achieve 25%+ gains so far since JAN 21. My personal account is now closer to the 35%-40% since I risked more capital, more like the 25%-60% range. When I first discussed this website mutual fund account with LEE, my goal was to do 25% better than the SPX by the end of a year. The SPX is now down about 5%, so for now we achieved the goal we originally set out. Our option account is down for the year, and I have decided to hold off on option trades until the overall market is more predictable per my system. Please understand that although we started with the same amount of $10000 in the MUTUAL FUND and OPTIONs account, it was not our intent to give the impression that they should be the same amount in reality. Frankly, I feel funds focused on options should be no greater than 10%, and more idealy closer to 5%.
