I'm sure you've read my many posts, and I have seen yours. I express my thoughts and opinions here is a non-hostile civilized manner. To label my post hostile is laughable, as are some of your comments here. There was no point being made to you. . . . I merely posted that for reference. I think not. Look, Ellen, most posters here are not dumb. This board obviously attracts a partisan debate, and you obviously are a Gore supporter, which I can respect in a civilized debate. So, for you to claim you "merely posted" the link as reference for me with only that intent is IMHO, a bit disingenuous. You posted the reference, and you posted to me in order to make a point. And my response to you was that the point you made, in light of what I had expressed previously, was nada. To wit, you preface the link with; "The Florida Secretary Of State says they do require a postmark as noted here in her public letter of 11/13/00." [Emphasis added]; as if to prove a point, or correct me on a technical point of law. The problem is Ellen, I really don't think you really read my post to chalu. If you did, then you would have comprehended that I was not arguing technicalities of the statute, but rather the legal theory behind waiving it in light of the argument raised by the Gore campaign to have the Secretary of State waive the November 12 deadline. Here's the link so you can read it this time, if you wish to. Message 14842016 If there's truly a miscommunication here, then I apologize. But I think if in the future if you truly wish to provide the thread or me the link to the statute, you should next time preference the link with a comment to the effect "for anyone who wishes to read the statute governing this issue . . . yada, yada, yada." Please understand, its not only what you say, but how you say it. I think you could have provided the link that you did in a more diplomatic manner, if that was your "mere" intent.
