That's one of the reasons why I have a hard time trying to interpret/trade on news and basically avoid it as much as I can.

Agreed... It is not that I "trade" the news... it is more of being aware of the psychological effect they can have.

There is NOTHING I can do about "unexpected" news. But once the news are out, I try to evaluate what effect it as had on the market participants, I try to "listen to the rumbling in the ground".

I keep an eye on the chart, and I try to evaluate where we will go next. I will give more weight to the chart (T/A) but I never do so on a "blindfaith" basis.
