That is one of the most worthless excuses I have seen on SI - and there have been many. You claim there is one - you look for it. Vague references to having heard it on Fox or MSNBC. Give us all a break here.

I think I am falling behind. I've just finished reading several newspaper accounts on the absent ballot issue. My read of these articles is that both sides were present. However, I haven't seen any mention of a memo by Republican operatives, only Democratic. Here is a link but I do not know much about this newspaper. Cobalt Blue could probably tell you if they have any political leaning that might influence the writer as she is in or near Washington. washingtonpost.com edit: this one has a funny view of it. gopbi.com
