John, Re: The best possible outcome would be for the recounts to continue, and for Bush to win

I kind of having the feeling that if the result of the four democrat bias counties still cannot make up for the Bush lead, Gore camp will push for a state wide hand recount under the name of fairness. We shall see.

John,
RE:"The best possible outcome would be for the recounts to continue, and for Bush to win. That's the only way that one side won't feel that they were robbed. Any other outcome leaves 50% of the country dissatisfied."

Of course it is but how many times will the canvassing boards be allowed to change the "rules of chad" if they don't get enough Gore votes?
OTOH, if this reached a higher court no way will they honor these hand recounts under due process of law.

On the other hand, think of poor Alec Baldwin, pack, unpack, pack, unpack, pack...
