DEMOCRAT MEMO ON HOW TO DISQUALIFY MILITARY VOTES:
XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN NOV 19, 2000 19:31:42 ET XXXXX

Karin, thanks for posting the infamous memo. From listing to the talking heads on Sunday morning TV and reading the comments here, I had gotten the impression that the Dems has sent out a memo to their troops with instructions on how to target military votes for disqualification. Perhaps that's because Drudge's headline characterizes it that way. But if you read it, it's simply a delineation of all the rules regarding absentee ballots and a protest form for those that don't meet the criteria. It could have come from either party. The spin machine was really working overtime on this one. Thanks for clearing things up.

Karen

Much has been made of this memo concerning overseas absentee ballots. I for one, as a republican, have no problem with this because I want the law to be followed. It may appear to be "outrageous" but I do not find it so and I regret that many republican commentators have seized this as a major issue. Come on - we cannot correct a potential wrong with another wrong. This is spin at its best and I do not buy into the bullshit spin of the Clintonians.
