there were duplicate absentee ballots sent out

Guess I missed that...I didn't realize the Republicans had sent out duplicate ballots...could you point me to where you got that information?

You put a lot into one post and I will probably only get parts of it answered. The day after the election I recall Daley getting on National TV and talking about how the election was being stolen from Gore. That image set a definite mind set with me. I guess because of that I started in a defensive mode.

My personal view of voter fraud is to lock the offender up until the next election. The article I saw about duplicate absentee ballots related to someone that never received the one he requested and so ordered another. Both of them did get voted but not by him. If you have a link to the report you are referring to I would like to read it. I do think there are a lot of operatives on both sides making inflammatory comments which keeps everyone's emotions on edge. It is a PR battle as well as a court battle being waged.

I'm not sure what the Republican response would have been if they were behind in a close race. It's not clear to me that it would have been pursued but that may not be germane. I really don't know what the thinking would have been.

Ellen, you must realize by now that you are dealing with people that don't have slightest bit of objectivity in their thinking. So don't attempt to be rational. I post mainly to get them more whizzed which is easy. They are so blinded they see only good from the Republican side and bad from the Democratic side. These people have moved from line to line here. The first line was bashing Clinton, the second praising Bush, and this one bashing Gore. The never have any facts just a bunch of accusations. More importantly not a one has ever said anything good about the Administration or Democrats.
