seems to me the florida supreme court blocking kathleen harris from certifying the election is a clear violation of the separation of powers although i know most democrats do not regard the constitution as a current document.

Michael, I am curious if you have also read the legal briefs by Gore and the other folks on the other side of the issue. I read them, and had the same view about the logic and law being on Gore's side as you do about Harris' position. The bottom line is that we are all looking at these issues through our own partisan-tinted glasses, that filter out the parts that may not support our side. Obviously, I dont have any more idea what the Supreme Court is going to do tomorrow (or whenever they decide it) than you do. But I am ready to acknowledge that it is a close case that could go either way, and that if it is decided against the guy I have supported, it's not because the court is corrupt, or biased or afraid of making a hard decision.

FWIW, I will feel the same way if and when the US Supreme Court, dominated by Republican appointees, decides the case pending in the 11th Circuit.

Goodnight all.

MC,

That is great. Glad to hear that she has a solid argument. Now lets hope that FLA shares your review.

At this point I think it will be pretty tough for them to support any political interest. I expect them to be fair, but I am no expert on the subject. Seems like a lot people see fair different from me on this topic.

We will know soon enough.

Have a good one
