the 2 trying to sell the voting machines had stolen it. might be a stretch to know what party they might be affilated with. Which party they might be affilated with is irrelevent. Those are the voting machines they HAVE found. You can safely bet there are others out there. The manual re-count will NEVER be accurate. Another safe bet; the people who are so h*ll bent of a manual re-count, are the people who most likely to have the machines. In this case, the democrats. If Al Gore had won FL, there would be no reason for him to want a manual re-count. If the Republicans had machines, and wanted to tamper with the ballots, they would have called for a re-count, in a state like Iowa, or better yet, Calif, who had 1 million absentee ballots. Very easy to alter 2 or 3 hundred thousand.
