Joseph-- Re:AMDroid FUD

You are demonstrating a staggering degree of idiocy in your misuse of the term FUD in regards to AMD. FUD = Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt: the use of an overrated future product, coupled with vacuous statements about stability, to keep corporate customers from using, and Dell from offering, Athlons-- i.e.: what Intel has been doing with Septium for the last six months-- is an excellent example. It is a gross bastardization of the term to imply that a reviewer or $7B AMD is somehow creating FUD against the fifth-largest capitalized corporation on the planet.

you think server OEMs will weigh more your FUD benchmarks or the X-years + Y-months AMD will need to ship SMP ?

Given that Septium has been in development since before the Athlon, and there is no SMP version of the PIV, isn't this statement just a little on the dumb side?

Re: Intel has focused on the key aspects of the SERVER market

LOL! Sorry Joe, but the Intel machine has had everything but megaphone trucks out in the streets for the last year saying that a single processor machine cannot be considered a server or workstation. Which meant that the Athlon could not be considered for either use.

Unfortunately for Intel, that also means that, according to Intel, you can't ever consider P4 for such uses either - not unless somebody manages to get an MPU chipset out for it.

LOL, 1st off it wasn't MY benchmarks.
2nd Anand has always cast a good light towards INTC. The fact is, he's pretty fair.

P4 is a major disappointment so far.
