More precisely, government spending is the bottom line. Statists have become so cleaver, so stealthy at imposing new taxes, most people don't even know it. Only way most people can tell that taxes are gone up is that spending and, especially, the cost of complying with ever more burdensome Government regulations keeps exploding.

Taxes are the bottom line nowadays.
