Vickie, this situation may eventually get to the US Supreme Court, but for now it's still a matter of the state of Florida.

Could anyone tell me why the Supreme Court of the US didn't step in, since this involves the whole US and not just a FL State issue?

Vickie, please, lets not encourage courts to "step in", as that is not the function of the courts. The Florida Supreme court did that, anticipated what Ms Harris was going to do and ruled she couldn't do it. Imagine that! Like assuming that if a woman is yelling at her husband she is going to poison his Special K, and so put her in jail. Courts are reactive, not active. They should have let her do her duty as Sec of State, and when she had certified the election, if a case came to them subsequently, then they could overrule her if they wanted. The US Supreme court will hopefully not "step in", but will wait for a case to come to them. Regards, Moose
