Hi Bob, That is an interesting story which you related via Nemer's post, many thanks... I think there are several basic differences between that situation and today's, but it does demonstrate the cold fact that there are shenanigans and mischievious goings on anytime people are involved.....<g> we need to be careful of that... I also think that we don't quite have the same severity in today's situation... if so, it has not yet been reliably documented..... maybe tomorrow.....<g> GZ

He said that, essentially, we had an election and it was a tie. It was a tie in every respect. The House is essentially tied; the Senate is essentially tied; the popular vote was essentially tied and Florida (and thus the electoral vote) were tied. He said that the perspectives of the two sides in deciding how to break this tie are not outrageous from either side.
