I believe you, but how did you do it?

Go to the Large Business section of the Dell site and under the Desktops section go to the 8100 family, then select "Customize" for the 1.4Ghz product listed at $2007. You can see how they configure the base model. Interestingly (and confusingly), they don't show how much memory the system has, nor do they provide a way to change the memory.

<edit: Also, I didn't see an option for a 17" CRT monitor. I did see an option for a 17" flat-panel monitor, which adds $970 to the price. And if you have your own monitor, you can save $330 off the $2007 price, giving $1677 as the starting price.>
