Gene,

Your link didn't work, but I found it. <g>

Hmmm. I checked it in Preview and again after I posted it. Maybe it was because I already had the page up in another window.

As for the $1999 model, I got the same weird $4100-ish price that you did when I went in through the Home and Home Office section and tried to customize a system. OTOH, when I went to their "Recommended Systems" I got this page (I hope this works (and it appears to in Preview mode)):

dell.com

It looks like a reasonable system (even better than the one you posted as it includes a 19" monitor, a NIC card, and a free upgrade to a DVD drive through 11/28). If you select the Customize option from the bottom of this page you'll see that RDRAM pricing is roughly $2 per M when you add another 128M ($240 incremental), but that drops to $1.33 per M when you upgrade to 1G ($1200 incremental for an additional 900M).

Note that you can also get the price down to $1699 if you have your own monitor.

I think there are a number of errors on the Dell site. I think we have to wait till later in the day.

I agree.

Dave

Parrott... "I think there are a number of errors on the Dell site."

LOL... Sounds like you might be trying to dodge the bullet!
