Actually, six (6) Republican leaning counties counted some ballots by hand without an explicit request by the Bush campaign. In one of them, Seminole county, the hand recount resulted in nearly 100 votes net gain for Bush. I guess it helps if your brother is Governor. People lean over backwards to please you.

And it doesn't help if you are Vice-President of the U.S. for 8 years. Gimmee a break
