In that same light, when Dan Quayle got slammed for spelling potato with an "e" at the end, I went to old Noah Webster's book and found that potatoe is an acceptable spelling of the word.

And remember when Chevy Chase used to mock Ford's clumsiness? Irony there was that Ford was probably the most athletic of all our Presidents.

Hi CB,

Why let reality get in the way of a good story?
Great line, can I borrow it sometime? <bg>

Best, Ray

CobaltBlue,

[I like that name, BTW; much better than jttmab]

Good post Cobalt, but

Why let reality get in the way of a good story?

There's a place for it...a friend of mine [conservative]had e:mailed the Bush quotes...we laughed...I told him [he's from Indiana] they were Quayle's...we laughed. Reality didn't get in the way of a good story.

Unfortunately there are some people that can't distinguish a good story from reality and develop and/or re-enforce strong biases that are baseless and destructive.

"Ma, Ma, Where's My Pa, Gone to the White House, Ha, Ha, Ha."

I never heard that one. What a stupid line. <LOL>

Best Regards,
jttmab
