The second move was a democrat-hired organization phoning voters in PB to suggest they may have misvoted.

Don't forget the Dem's federal lawsuit early on, which they dismissed in favor of state court.

Next move was for the dems to get hand re-counts in the dem districts.

They then moved onto character assasination of Kathrine Harris.

You skipped a step. Everything was normal up to this point. Wexler, and stuff were minor stories and things were proceeding like any other close election. Between the request for handcounts (legal, normal, and typical for a close election) and any verbal abuse on Kathrine Harris were a lot of right wing manuvers to deny the normal handcount, claim all poll workers were party hacks, and a bunch of bold lies about the accuracy of ballots, procedures, Oh, and federal lawsuits to stop the counting followed by complaints that deadlines were missed. There were a lot of steps that Rush doesn't emphasise.
