Back on the DRILLING thread -

A little fact from a site I use - for XNG investors -

Whenever the Natural Gas futures contract has rallied more than 4% on a Friday in the last four years it has had a bullish effect on energy behemoth BP/Amoco (BP) and the Natural Gas index (XNG) over the course of the next week. In 15 previous instances of this event in NG futures, BPA has rallied 13 times by an average of 4.02 percent over the next 5 trading days percent versus two instances of losses averaging -1.86 percent. XNG rallies 12 of 15 times, by an average win of 4.18 percent versus three of 15 losses at an average of 2.5%.

<Anyone want to suggest the best candidates for buyouts.>

JMO...but I wouldn't necessarily look for buyout candidates. Seems like there is never a decent premium paid and the assets in the ground of the acquisition target always are given away at a discount. SFS and BSNX come to mind as examples of recent acquisition targets with lousy premiums.

Anybody know when the RIG arb play ends...haven't been following this that closely.
